About Me
My name is Mya Roberts, and I am a senior from Lincoln Community High School. I was born and raised in Lincoln along with my older sister. I am very hardworking, loyal, and hope to make great connections with my peers as well as the community’s leaders. My main focus in life is to be successful in what I say and do, but along with that I want to be able to say that I did something with the opportunities I have been given. I want to make a change. Ceo gives me this opportunity. I want to thank the investors for keeping this program available for all students who want to seize the opportunity to better themselves.
About My Business
My Featured Journal Entries
My experience in CEO has not only changed my perspective on the business community, but I have grown as an individual as well. I started the program as a reserved person who was unwilling to try new things. CEO allowed me to develop the skills I needed to become a more open person. At the Trade Show, I was able to show the community this new found confidence I had in myself. I would like to extend my thanks to the investors because without them, this experience would never had happened. I would still be the girl who never went out of her comfort zone, and now I’m pushing my limits.

Tuesday was the day of our board mentor breakfast. I was able to sit down with my mentor, Clyde Reynolds, and get to know him better. It turns out that he knows my choir teacher as well as my boss, so it was amazing to see the mutual connections. One thing about our conversation stood out the most. We were talking about opinions and Clyde told me that, “when you have your own opinion, it doesn’t mean that everyone else’s opinion is wrong.” I think this is important because if we do not listen to the other ideas and opinions around us, we could miss out on great opportunities.
