The CEO class had the privilege of sitting down with City of Lincoln, Illinois Mayor Tracy Welch to dive deep into local leadership, municipal operations, and what it truly takes to steward a city! Mayor Welch shared his journey from Ward 1 Alderman to Mayor while walking us through the balancing act local officials face daily—focusing on transparency, integrity, common sense, and the constant consideration of what is best for the community.

During our session, we explored how strategic revitalization drives local growth. From leveraging regional partnerships to utilizing tools like grant programs, TIF districts to the newly formed business incubator, Mayor Welch highlighted that when local businesses succeed, the entire community thrives.

We appreciate the support of the City of Lincoln as an investor in the CEO program. And thank you to Mayor Welch for spending time with us and inspiring our future entrepreneurs!
