From a garage hobby 15 years ago to a thriving local staple!

Our CEO class visited with Colleen & Bussy Roate of Spirited Republic/Limerick Brewing Company this week, getting a true look at the reality of entrepreneurship, community partnerships, and growth.

Key takeaways:
💡 Start small: Take baby steps and grow thoughtfully.
🤝 Community: Strong local partnerships create win-wins for everyone
🗣️ Collaboration: Know your role and keep lines of communication open.
⌛ "Your time is a commodity. Prioritize your time."
❓ "Ask for help: You can’t know everything. Lean on those who can help."

The Roates and co-owner Troy Hanger have seen steady growth of their business over the years. And they have continues to expand operations with the recent opening of The Rose Room.

Colleen says "Entrepreneurship is in my bones." We would have to agree! Thank you to Colleen and Bussy for hosting a visit for students. And a special thank you to Colleen who serves on the Land of Lincoln CEO board.
