Students visited the Logan County, Illinois Clerk and Recorder office. Current County Clerk Teresa Moore and incoming County Clerk Kate Wright hosted students for a tour of the courthouse. Students were able to see the renovated courtrooms which now feature new technology while keeping their historic bones (including chairs with built in hat holders!) They even ran into incoming Logan County Sheriff Josh Pharis.

While touring the Recorder's office, our young entrepreneurs learned the process for filing for an Assumed Business Name, how election judging works, and even experience a blast from the past in the vault with deed records from early days of Logan County.

This tour is always a great introduction to how county government operates and a wonderful tutorial for entrepreneurs in the early stages of launching a business. Thank you for hosting the CEO program this week!
