CEO visited Advanced Heating & Cooling this week. Owner David White talked with students about how he got started and the growth his business has seen over the last 5 years. Topics ranged from managing employees, networking, advertising, overhead, and customer service.

Assistant Dave Stephenson was also on hand to answer questions about employees. "An employee that feels valued will do better work because they're motivated to have a stronger commitment and work ethic." David White also explained that HVAC technicians have to do a fair amount of on-the-job training because there are so many brands and models to learn. So he invests a lot of time and energy into training and mentoring new employees.

David also described his faith as a foundational element in his business. This worldview is a guiding principle for all aspects of how he runs Advanced Heating and Cooling.

Students asked David if he had considered using AI assistants or automated messaging systems. He said he prefers answering the phone himself because customers appreciate the personal touch, connection and sincerity. (And when someone needs HVAC services, they need them right away!)
