Home Away Homes was a fantastic visit.  I loved that fact that the owners actually started in the competing business: stick building. I found it so interesting that even as they grew up with their father showing the way with that method they both saw how maybe modular is better and they have been very successful with that mindset. That is truly seeing need and adjusting to make it happen.

This week we got to visit the awesome LC, or Lincoln College.  I have never thought of the college as a business. I realized that every private school is a lot like that and it was cool to see it that way. Dr. Gerlach had a lot of useful strategies to talk about too. He talked about “potential unexpected consequences of a business decision” which is a good thing to think about. It is kind of the ripple effect people talk about with all of your decisions.
