Hunter Langley
About Me
My name is Hunter Langley, and I attend Hartsburg-Emden High School as a senior. I applied to CEO because I want to get my name out and I want to work on my social networking. Looking into a future career, I can see myself as a elementary teacher and potentially owning my own photography business on the side. Throughout high school I have been involved in volleyball, cheerleading, FFA, FEA, and student council. I am very privileged to be apart of the 2016-2017 CEO program.

Thursday, we went to the Ag Day Breakfast that was hosted by the Chamber. Not only did our very own Ashley Zinser get awarded a scholarship, but there were so many people there that we have met throughout CEO. It is so cool to know so many professionals in your community, and being able to connect with them outside of when they come to talk to us in class.

but because it’s my business, I am confident enough and know all the information to give to people, I have nothing
to worry about. If someone were to ever ask me a question I didn’t know the answer to about my
business, I would be thankful more than anything because then I would have the opportunity to
figure it out.

Wednesday we were at Sysco where we got a tour. I didn’t realize how big of a company
Sysco was, and it’s crazy to think we have this in Lincoln. I liked that they had a “system” for
everything they did. Delivery was on one side, pick up on another. Everything was laid out
clearly and they had a reason for that.

Tuesday we traveled to Flossie & Delzina’s where the owner Heather Cosby talked to us
about owning her own business. I LOVED that she named her business after both of her
grandmothers because she wanted the hospitality in her business to be like the hospitality she got
from her grandma's. Heather told us that no matter what career path we take, to continue your
education. Even with owning her own business, and being her own boss, she is constantly
learning more and furthering her education. She seemed very supportive in our community. She
said she likes to give a lot of her advertising money to school events that aren’t just sporting
events, such as band or speech. With this being my first time going to Flossie & Delzina’s she
has definitely persuaded me to come back.
