The team met with Lesleigh Simpson Bennett, co-owner of Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home this week. After giving students an opportunity to satisfy their curiosity about processes related to the funeral industry, she talked with them about the importance of branding.
Lesleigh and her husband Chris are uniquely positioned in the community. She is the only female funeral home owner in the area and he is a veteran who served as a U.S. Marine. They also offer American made caskets exclusively. It’s these kinds of things, in addition to compassion and respect that factor into their branding.
And it must be working - Holland Barry & Bennett has been awarded the Readers’ Choice Award for Funeral Homes by Lincoln Courier Media since they started the awards!
