A charity can be very worthwhile, but that’s not the model for CEO.

In CEO, students learn about how to run a business. That business will require start-up capital. And market research. They’ll have to develop a solid business plan and attract investors. Oh, and they’ll need to come up with a great pitch. And a marketing plan.

And that’s just the start.

A handful of LLCEO board members came by this morning to walk the students through the business venture pathway. Each venture builds on the next so that by the time students are ready to launch their individual business, they have a solid foundation of business principles and practices to draw from. (And if all goes according to plan, they’ll make a profit as well.)

Thank you to Michelle Bauer - Country Financial, Ashley Ann Zinser of Central Illinois Ag, and John Skeeter Robinson of Hartsburg-Emden CUSD #21 for taking time to go over the details and answer the team’s questions this morning!
